Water Conservation
At Two Bays we can assist you to develop water conservation strategies for your swimming pool project. We all have a responsibility to look after our water resources for now and the future. Careful planning at the beginning,
will sustain your pool without draining
water resources.
Choices you can make to conserve water include:
Choosing a cartridge filtration system instead of a sand filter. Sand filters need to be backwashed for maintenance, discharging many litres of wasted water. Backwashing of an existing sand filter should be kept to a minimum.
A pool cover significantly reduces water evaporation. There are a range of styles on the market, from hand operated covers, to fully remote systems.
Harvest rain water to top up your pool. Government rebates are on offer for installing a water tank.
Work with existing house plumbing. Modifications to your storm water can divert rainwater into your pool.
Once we have completed your pool, resist the temptation to indulge in a celebratory ‘bombing’ spree. The idea is to keep the water in the pool!
